Eventuality Initiatives is based in the North West (UK), and run by Mark Ratcliffe.

Mark has over thirty years project management experience in a range of arts and events related activity, including the coordination of a large number of complex partnerships for some projects, including HLF, English Heritage, ACE, CABE, local authorities, independent contractors and many community and voluntary organisations.

He also has more than thirty years operational leadership and management experience related to the consistent and sustainable performance of visual art galleries, performing arts venues and museums in a number of locations.

In addition to this, he has gained significant experience in the planning, logistics and operational management of major national and international live events, including rock concerts, air-shows, world record attempts, national pyrotechnics competitions and battlefield re-enactments.

Mark also has considerable experience relating to the specification and assessment of complex integrated ICT systems for public information, financial control, booking management, security, public safety, event and venue services control and monitoring.

More recently, he has a proven track record formulating and implementing innovative energy saving initiatives and other measures to improve environmental sustainability, as well as the general health and well-being of staff and visitors.

He is  also well versed in the day-to-day assessment, specification and implementation of operational and administrative protocols to support the health, safety, security and well-being of staff, visitors and contractors, as well as sound budgetary monitoring and control experience.
